Planning a successful golf tournament involves many steps, from vetting the perfect golf course to arranging the catering, promoting and soliciting sponsorships and prizing, attracting participants, coordinating the teams and days events.

Prestige Event Planning is honored to be engaged to assist with the planning and execution of the Edmonton Metropolitan Region Board Charity Golf Tournament on September 4th at the prestigious Belvedere Golf and Country Club, near Sherwood Park in Strathcona County.

This is the 16th year of this tournament supporting charitable causes across the Edmonton region. Strathcona County is excited to be this year’s Tournament Host. Mayor Rod Frank and Council invite local and regional businesses to get involved to assist in raising funds for the Strathcona Food Bank.

Golfers recently had the exclusive opportunity to hit the greens at the prestigious Belvedere Golf and Country Club, where each team was paired up with a celebrity from the Oilers, the Oilers/EE Alumni and other local sports and media personalities. It was Prestige Event Planning's privelege to plan and execute this sold out event.
What sets the Kevin Karius Celebrity Golf Classic, presented by Prism Flow Products, apart is the unique opportunity for golfers to play alongside esteemed local celebrities on the very beautiful private Belevedere GCC course. The weather was fabulous, the golfing was great and the hole by hole, day's activities and networking opportunities were thoroughly enjoyed by all. We are proud to announce that this year we raised a record amount for our charity of choice, Easter Seals Alberta (https://easterseals.ab.ca/).

Prestige Event Planning was delighted to be selected as the Event Planner to support and assist the Canadian Mental Health Association – Edmonton Region in the relaunch of their Mental Health Golf Classic.
The tournament proceeds raised at the event will help to improve CMHA-Edmonton’s individual and family support programs. These include peer supports, navigation supports (including 211), education, training, and advocacy for individuals and families struggling with mental health issues. We recognize that the path to mental well-being impacts more than one person. Support is also essential for the family, friends, and caregivers, who are affected by the struggles of their loved ones.

The 2nd Annual "Who Let The Dogs Golf? Tournament" will be held May, 2025 - More bark details to come!
This unique event is guaranteed to have tails-a-wagging on the greens. Twosomes will have the opportunity to bring their furry pooch with them to take part in a 9-Hole Texas Scramble Tournament.
We have limited spots available - only 72 golfers and 36 dogs will get the chance to experience this barking good adventure.

“I have worked with Darla Zuk for the past 17 years on the Kevin Karius Celebrity Golf Classic. The tournament has become one of the top golf tournaments in Edmonton. The main reason for this is the extreme hard work Darla puts in organizing the tournament. No detail is overlooked. In fact, it is her attention to detail that makes the tournament run so smoothly. Darla’s ability to pull things together, from taking care of our valued sponsors, to something that seems as small as lunch for the volunteers, does not go unnoticed. We have many golfers that play in a lot of charity tournament. They all say the Easter Seals Celebrity Golf Classic is one o the best run tournaments they play in. A big reason why, is the hard work and dedication of Darla Zuk.
